Privacy

The gear checker never requires an account, registration, payment, cookies, or analytics consent. Your six scenario answers are processed to show your result and are not sent to a server, not written to a public URL, and not stored between sessions. If your browser restores inputs after a refresh, that copy stays on your device and can be cleared with Start Over.

• No names, email addresses, or account identifiers.
• No free-text scenario descriptions, item names, or full input objects.
• No persistent IP identifiers, full user agents, or clipboard contents.
• No save-game data, game files, or uploads of any kind.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate visits and page-performance metrics, such as page views, referrers, and Core Web Vitals. Cloudflare's JavaScript beacon runs in your browser and sends performance-related data to Cloudflare for processing. We receive the resulting analytics through Cloudflare's dashboard. The checker does not send your scenario answers, free-text descriptions, item names, or save-game data to Cloudflare Web Analytics.

Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not use client-side state, such as cookies or localStorage, to collect usage metrics, and does not fingerprint individuals via their IP address, User Agent string, or other data for the purpose of displaying analytics. Cloudflare's RUM documentation also states that the service receives the client/source IP address as part of normal HTTP request handling, discards it at the nearest Cloudflare data center, and does not store it in core databases or logs. Cloudflare may process RUM data at a data center selected by its network routing.

In our current production QA observation, this site created no cookies, localStorage entries, or sessionStorage entries while loading this page. That is a snapshot of the current deployment and is not a promise that unrelated browser features or future configuration changes will never use storage.

Cloudflare Web Analytics is not required to use the checker, and the checker remains usable without an analytics consent interaction. For more information about Cloudflare's handling of data, see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
